Blaise C. Beaulier was appointed Vice President – Information Systems for Northwestern Mutual, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on April 1, 2008. Beaulier is responsible for the development and support of application systems covering insurance products and operations, retail and institutional investments, field technology and compensation, and corporate functions. Currently, he is a member of the company’s Project Prioritization Committee and Technology Strategy Committee.

Beaulier joined Northwestern Mutual in 1988 as a programmer analyst in the Information Systems Department. His primary responsibilities included providing support for field applications such as sales reporting and honors, compliance and field compensation. He was promoted to the role of manager in 1995 and became assistant director with responsibility for the Life Product, Marketing, and Agency system applications in 2000.

In 2004, Beaulier joined the Corporate Planning department as a director of projects where he continued to mature the Company’s portfolio management processes including the corporate project prioritization process. Beaulier chaired the Project Prioritization Committee for more than 2 years before returning to the Information Systems Department in 2008.

Beaulier received his B.S. degree in management information systems from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and currently serves on their School of Business & Technology advisory board.
